About
As a photographer, I look for beauty in both common objects and uncommon landscapes. My goal is to provide museum quality fine art prints that will be stable and endure the whims of what’s popular at the moment.
I began my journey as a photographer in 1984 when I visited the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento. I stumbled across an exhibit by Ansel Adams. Witnessing the large black and white landscapes opened up a new world. The sharpness and rich tones in his prints was something I had never seen before. I remembering saying to myself “this is what I want to do.”
Not long after I bought my first serious camera, a Nikon FE2 and used mostly Kodak Kodachrome slide film. After pursuing landscape photography professionally for a few years I eventually moved from professional, to hobbiest, with a family and full time job with the State of California in the environmental field. In November 2024, I relaunched my business and began to assemble a portfolio of both “vintage” photographs from Kodachrome and digital images I primarily shoot today.
